Parcheesi began with a vintage hand-painted game board—the kind of beautifully graphic object that becomes more interesting the longer you look at it. Its pathways, circles and playing spaces were reconstructed into this bold geometric scarf, preserving the character of the original while transforming it into something entirely new.

The oversized 36" square gives the pattern room to unfold. Worn open, the symmetry of the game board is striking and architectural. Gathered, folded or loosely wrapped, those same lines and circles break apart into an unexpected mix of color, pattern and abstraction.

There is nostalgia here, too: evenings around a table, pieces moving across the board, a little competition and a lot of conversation.

Parcheesi turns the familiar geometry of a classic game into a thoroughly modern textile.
